Canadian wealth firms boost female senior leadership

Two Canadian wealth management firms have announced some additions to their leadership teams and added to their female representation at senior management level.

At iA Financial, Catherine Milum has been named as the new CEO of iA Clarington Investments, effective immediately. She succeeds Adam Elliot who is now president of iA private Wealth.

Milum has three decades of industry experience and was most recently head of retail distribution at Manulife Investment Management.

"Catherine has won numerous awards throughout her distinguished career, both for sales performance and outstanding leadership, and was named one of Canada's Most Powerful Women by the Women's Executive Network,” said Stephan Bourbonnais, EVP, iA Wealth. “The asset management industry is evolving rapidly and Catherine's demonstrated ability to innovate and lead large, dynamic teams to success will be a tremendous asset as we position ourselves for the exciting opportunities that lie ahead."

Horizons ETFs

Meanwhile, Horizons ETFs has appointed Stephanie Wolfe as its executive vice-president, head of marketing.

The appointment completes the firm’s executive team of seven members and adds Wolfe’s more than two decades of experience in product and asset management marketing, including previously as BlackRock's head of Canada marketing. She also previously served as strategic advisor for BMO Private Wealth’s women’s segment.
