Credit business's new leaders have been instrumental in the execution of company's ambitious expansion goal
Onex has named Ronnie Jaber and Sandeep Alva as the new co-heads of its credit business.
During their time at Onex Credit, Jaber and Alva have built a track record of success as leaders and have been instrumental in the company's execution of its aggressive growth strategy.
“Jaber and Alva are seasoned and successful investors with a strong vision for the future of Onex Credit,” said Bobby Le Blanc, President of Onex, in a statement announcing the appointments. “As innovative and collaborative leaders, I am confident they will drive results for our investors, partners and employees.”
In their new positions, Jaber and Alva will coordinate Onex Credit's strategic and growth efforts while supervising investment strategies in their respective fields of expertise.
Direct lending, mezzanine, and structured equity will continue to fall under Alva's purview, while Jaber will be in charge of structured credit, CLOs, as well as liquid and opportunistic strategies.

In 2020, Jaber joined Onex Credit to concentrate on expanding the company's structured credit product, which includes its international CLO platform. He has nearly 20 years of professional expertise, specializing in global leveraged, structured, and opportunistic credit as well as developing macro strategy.
Alva joined Onex in late 2020 through the company’s acquisition of Falcon Investment Advisors, which he created in 2000. He has more than 35 years of expertise in the field, especially in mezzanine and private equity investments.
