A seasoned Canadian investment industry professional has a new role at T. Rowe Price in Quebec.

Jean-Sebastien Garant, CFA, ASA, is the firm’s newly hired vice president responsible for sales, client service, and consultant relations for its institutional business in Eastern Canada, reporting to Lauren Bloom, T. Rowe Price's head of Canada.

Garant was previously with MFS Investment Management Canada, leading institutional business development and client servicing for the province of Quebec, and before that was a partner at Sigma Alpha Capital Inc, again responsible for business development and client servicing along with co-managing the firm’s Global Macros Hedge Fund.

T. Rowe Price (Canada) Inc. is a unit of T. Rowe Price's Americas division, which offers investment management services to institutional investors and institutional consultants.

Earlier this year, Samantha Cleyn, a vice president and head of Institutional for Canada was hired by BMO Global Asset Management as managing director, head of Institutional Sales & Service.
