Harbourfront names new Director of Financial Planning and Analysis

Harbourfront Wealth is continuing to pursue its growth ambitions with the appointment of Zoheb Somani as its director of Financial Planning and Analysis.

With ten years of expertise in the financial services sector, Somani arrives from Aviso Wealth after serving as director of financial projects and analysis and as one of the founding members of the financial analysis team.

Somani will play a crucial role in short- and long-term strategic planning in his new position at Harbourfront, where he will offer expertise and innovation to the field of financial planning and analysis.

He will report to Lynn Stibbard, the CFO and COO of Harbourfront.

“We are thrilled to have Zoheb join us here at Harbourfront, said Lynn Stibbard, CFO and COO of Harbourfront. “He has a successful track record of maximizing efficiency through advanced financial analysis and bringing new and leading ideas and solutions to financial businesses and I am confident his expertise will be a great and valued addition to our firm.”

“I am excited for this next chapter and specifically chose Harbourfront because of its anticipated growth plans and culture. Throughout the due diligence process, I was able to gain a very clear understanding of Harbourfront’s growth objectives and the idea of being in an organization with a continued focus and commitment to the client and advisor experience is very appealing to me.” Somani said.

Somani's appointment comes on the heels of Harbourfront appointing a new SVP of Corporate Development.

Last month, the firm hired Coby Bucci, whose distinguished career saw her becoming one of Canada’s pioneering ESG analysts in the early 2000s, before the UN Environment Programme Initiative coined the term in 2005.

Bucci is responsible for driving the company's corporate development, product innovation, and asset management expansion. She will improve the firm's policies for ethical investing as well as the advisor-business experience for every practice.

“After a year of extreme due diligence of the many firms which I received offers from, I’m excited to make Harbourfront my new home. From an outside look in, Harbourfront’s culture is clearly solutions-based, and the firm is genuinely working to remove roadblocks - for advisors and their clients - in places that other institutions want to keep them,” said Bucci.
