The incoming head previously oversaw retirement strategies for 9.5 million participants globally
Manulife Wealth & Asset Management appointed Fraser Wiswell, a nearly 16-year Manulife veteran, as head of Canada Retirement, effective immediately.
He will oversee strategy, growth, and delivery of group retirement and retirement income solutions for plan sponsors and plan members across Canada, reporting to Aimee DeCamillo, global head of retirement and wealth.
Wiswell succeeds Brett Marchand, who was appointed president and CEO of Manulife Wealth.
Most recently, Wiswell served as head of Global Retirement Participant Outcomes, leading strategies for more than 9.5 million plan participants globally.
He joined Manulife in September 2010 as a product manager in Canadian retail mutual funds and has since held senior roles across retail wealth, group benefits, and group retirement, including vice-president of product, strategy and transformation for Group Retirement Solutions and director of strategic alliances.
"I'm honoured to take on this role and build on the strong foundation of our Group Retirement business," Wiswell said. "We have an important responsibility to help Canadians save and retire with greater confidence."
Wiswell holds an MBA from the Ivey Business School at Western University and a Chartered Investment Management designation from the Canadian Securities Institute.
