One life insurer has made life just a little bit easier for MGAs using data management system providers during applications.
The Empire Life Insurance Company recently announced that it has launched e-Application data feeds for life insurance applications placed through the Fast & Full Life Application Process.

According to the company, this will make settling Fast & Full business even faster for Managing General Agents (MGAs) using data management system providers enabled to receive these feeds.

“We recognize the importance of finding efficient ways of sharing up-to-date comprehensive information with our MGAs,” says Mike Stocks, vice president, insurance marketing for Empire Life. “Empire Life aims to be a company known for simplicity and being easy to do business with and our Fast & Full e-Application data feed is the latest way we want to demonstrate this commitment to our MGAs.”

Empire Life received Canadian Life Insurance EDI Standards (CLIEDIS) approval for their CITS e-Application data feed process. The Fast & Full e-Application data feed provides notifications of life insurance applications submitted using the Empire Life Fast & Full Life Application Process, an online life insurance application process that offers an electronic health questionnaire. These notifications will include a PDF image of the application as part of the feed – the only life insurance company in Canada whose notification provides this added feature.

“The e-Application data feed will save time and costs for our MGAs,” says Stocks, “and help to make settling business placed through our Fast & Full Life Application process even faster.”

Empire Life worked closely with CLIEDIS throughout the process to ensure compliance with the CITS standards, and pilot testing is now underway with several MGAs that use the data management system providers currently able to receive the e-Application data feeds.
According to Empire Life, additional data management systems will be enabled in the weeks to come.
