Yuan, Thailand dominate markets

Tuesday’s session for the world markets has been rocked by Monday’s deadly explosion in Bangkok and the continued volatility of the Chinese currency

Tuesday’s session for the world markets has been rocked by Monday’s deadly explosion in Bangkok and the continued volatility of the Chinese currency. Asian markets have closed mostly lower as the yuan slipped against the US dollar and even stronger news for China’s property sector was not enough to impress the markets. The explosion in Thailand weighed heavily on concern that it was a terrorist attack but so far this morning that has not been confirmed. At least 20 people were killed and at least one suspect has been identified.
