Two new wealth management leaders named

Companies announce new arrivals who will take key positions in wealth management push

Deutsche Bank and Credit Suisse have been in the headlines in difficult circumstances recently – however, as both look for a revival wealth management has become a key aspect of their business.
It comes as no surprise then that both companies have announced new appointments in senior positions of their respective wealth management units.

Firstly, Deutsche Bank Wealth Management has announced that Patrick Campion will take the role of head of wealth management for the Americas. Campion, who joins from HSBC, has garnered more than 30 years’ experience across the private banking industry and his appointment has excited Fabrizio Campelli, the firm’s global head of wealth management.
 
“We are thrilled to welcome Patrick back to Deutsche Bank as he brings a proven track record of success in driving measurable performance, building sustainable internal and external partnerships and delivering superior client experiences,” he said. “Patrick’s role in the Americas will be essential to the transformation and growth of the wealth management platform as we implement our strategy over the next few years.”

Meanwhile, Credit Suisse has announced a significant promotion in its own international wealth management division as longtime executive Eric Varvel takes the role of global head of asset management.

Varvel, who will officially step into the role as of June 01, will also become part of the company’s international wealth management committee having been a mainstay at the company for more than two decades.

His promotion has been welcomed by Iqbal Khan, the company’s CEO of international wealth management.

“We are delighted to have such an accomplished senior leader to head our Asset Management business and look forward to working with him in this capacity,” he said.

“We are confident that his global experience, track record and expertise will significantly contribute to the further development of our Asset Management franchise and to the achievement of our ambitious goals.”
