Search continues for 2024 Wealth Professional Awards contenders

Excitement is building from across the Canadian wealth industry as nominations for the 2024 Wealth Professional Awards continue to pour in.

Now on its 10th year, the Wealth Professional Awards is happening in June at the Liberty Grand in Toronto.

In keeping with previous years, the 2024 WP Awards will be held in iconic fashion as exceptional individuals, teams, and organizations – including wealth managers, investment professionals, advisory teams, and wealth tech providers – are honoured at the red-carpet gala.

With a pre-awards cocktail reception, awards ceremony and dinner banquet, and a post-awards celebration on the agenda, the event promises a unique opportunity to honour leaders, trailblazers, and champions who embody the best of the industry.

In 2022, the coveted Employer of Choice Award went to Nicola Wealth, a leading full-service wealth management firm based in BC with $14.9 billion in AUM and seven offices across Canada.

“To us, being honoured as Employer of Choice is a testament to the unwavering dedication and collective efforts of our incredible team,” Heather Claridge, senior VP, People & Culture at Nicola Wealth, says the award serves as “a testament to the unwavering dedication and collective efforts of our incredible team.

“At Nicola Wealth, collaboration, caring, and the pursuit of excellence is at the heart of everything we do,” Claridge says. “Being acknowledged as Employer of Choice not only validates our commitment to creating an exceptional work experience but also motivates us to continue to raise the bar.

“This accolade is a powerful reminder that our people-first approach not only resonates within our organization but also stands out within the broader industry,” she says.

That same year, Broadridge Financial Solutions, one of the world’s leading global financial technology providers, came away with the WealthTech Service Provider of the Year Award.

According to Karin Yorfido, president of Broadridge Canada, that win was a validation of the dedication and spirit of innovation that runs through the firm.

“In the industry it has elevated our status and fostered a sense of pride among our team,” Yorfido says. “Our dedication to providing outstanding services and solutions in the financial sector has been reinforced by this honour.”

Aside from serving as a benchmark for excellence in the Canadian wealth industry, Yorfido says the WP Awards offer a forum to recognize outstanding contributions, foster healthy competition, and inspire innovation – all of which ultimately benefit the industry as a whole.

“It fosters a positive environment that promotes inspiration, knowledge exchange, and ongoing improvement, which ultimately propels the industry as a whole ahead,” she says.

The call for nominations is open until February 16. To learn more about the awards and name worthy contenders, click here.
