The railroads are determined not to lose revenue like they did in the exceptionally harsh conditions of last winter.

The railroads are determined not to lose revenue like they did in the exceptionally harsh conditions of last winter. Canadian National railway Co and Canadian Pacific have both announced that they will have extra staff working or on standby and strategic placing of emergency equipment designed to tackle extreme weather conditions. The additional costs of winter amounted to more than $100 million for the two firms but the outlook for this winter is for less severe conditions.
