​Industrial products and raw materials indexes decrease

The Industrial Product Price Index (IPPI) decreased 0.4 per cent in November, mainly because of lower prices for energy and petroleum products.

The Industrial Product Price Index (IPPI) decreased 0.4 per cent in November, mainly because of lower prices for energy and petroleum products while the Raw Materials Price Index (RMPI) declined 5.8 per cent largely as a result of lower prices for crude energy products. Today’s new figures from StatsCan show that the annual increase for the IPPI was paired back to 1.9 per cent (from 2.4 per cent in October) and the decline for the PMPI was a sharper 4 per cent (from 2.2 per cent in October).
