Exports increase but oil and metal prices dampen the figures

Canada’s exports are increasing but next year’s figure will be held back by lower oil and metal prices.

Canada’s exports are increasing but next year’s figure will be held back by lower oil and metal prices. Export Development Canada’s latest figures show an increase in the value of exports of 10 per cent this year falling to 6 per cent in 2015. When lower prices for oil and metals are factored out the growth looks good for the coming years and the agency says the volume of exports may be higher than its estimates due to the lower oil and metal prices.
