The CPP slipped into the red in the second quarter with a small investment loss, but overall the plan is looking positive. Net assets increased by $4 billion to $268.6 billion as contributions were $4.2 billion but investments lost $200 million. The net loss of 0.1 per cent contrasts with the previous financial year when there was an investment gain of 18.2 per cent.
