AGF Management Ltd. announced today that firm CEO and CIO Kevin McCreadie has passed away suddenly.
McCreadie had worked at AGF since 2014 after previous roles with US-based firms such as PNC Capital Advisors, Mercantile Capital Advisors, and J.P. Morgan Asset Management.
“The entire AGF team is devastated by the loss of Kevin, our colleague and leader,” said Blake Goldring, Executive Chairman of AGF in a statement. “His impact on our organization – and the people within it – has been profound and will be lasting. We extend our heartfelt condolences to the McCreadie family during this difficult time.”
The statement honoured McCreadie's "pivotal role" in shaping the modern asset management firm. It states his passion for investment management and his focus on growing future talent in this industry.
The AGF Board of Directors has activated its succession plan protocols as of today and named Judy Goldring as CEO. Goldring already serves as AGF's President and Head of Global Distribution. She has over 30 years' experience in the industry, having joined AGF in 1998 as General Counsel.
“We have full confidence in Judy’s ability to lead the firm given her profile, vision and demonstrated leadership skills,” Blake Goldring said in the statement. “She has the full support of the AGF team and our Board of Directors... The Board has every confidence in the AGF team's ability to continue driving long-term success for the benefit of all stakeholders.”
