The pair's second collaboration widens private markets access for advisors and wealth managers
Accredited Canadian investors can now reach a global real estate strategy managed by TD Asset Management Inc (TDAM) through a new vehicle launched by iCapital Network Canada Ltd, the two firms said.
The vehicle is the second private markets strategy iCapital Canada has brought to Canada with TDAM, following a global infrastructure strategy in 2025.
iCapital Canada is a wholly owned subsidiary of iCapital, a fintech firm headquartered in New York and Greenwich, Connecticut.
The offering targets Canadian wealth managers and advisors looking for diversification across private markets, the release said.
Andrew Croll, TDAM's managing director and head of global real estate investments, said the firm has "nearly 40 years of experience managing real estate" and holds physical assets across Canada and other markets.
The launch, he said, expands access to TDAM's institutional real estate platform for accredited Canadian investors.
Thomas Johnston, iCapital's managing director and head of client solutions for Canada, tied the move to the earlier partnership.
"Building on the momentum of our prior collaboration, this second launch underscores our shared focus on expanding access to private market strategies for Canadian accredited investors," Johnston said.
He added that iCapital's technology and local presence would support advisors allocating to global real assets.
