A leading North American alternative investment manager is ringing in 2024 by elevating one of its key leaders to a new role.

Fengate Management, a leading alts investment manager managing billions of dollars in committed capital, has revealed Jennifer Pereira as its new managing director, group head of Private Equity.

Prior to her new role within Fengate, Pereira was the firm’s managing director, Private Equity, according to a press release announcing her appointment.

With “a wealth of experience and an exceptional track record” to her name, Pereira is stepping up onto a new rung of leadership.

Aside from leading the firm’s private equity business, her purview has grown to include overall management of Fengate’s private equity funds, team leadership, and being responsible for Fengate’s strategic planning and operations.

She’s also officially taking a seat at the table as she joins the firm’s executive and investment committees.

“Congratulations to Jennifer on her well-deserved appointment and I look forward to the growth of our private equity business under her skilled leadership,” Fengate President and CEO Lou Serafini Jr. said in a statement announcing Pereira’s appointment.

“Jennifer’s extensive experience and strategic vision with managing complex transactions, leading successful teams, and growing businesses will be invaluable for our investors, our portfolio company partners, and our firm,” Serafini said.

In her career before coming to Fengate, Pereira served at CPP Investments as its managing director, Private Equity, where she led coverage in the consumer sector. Prior to that, she was with Boston Consulting Group, during which time she worked in an advisory capacity with various clients, focusing on financial institutions and consumer companies.

Fengate Private Equity, a business division under Fengate Asset Management, is concentrated on growth-oriented businesses in the business services, consumer products and services, and information, communications, and technology (ICT) sectors.
