The Benefit Source (TBS), a prominent benefits consulting firm based in Mississauga, has announced that it is merging with Sterling Capital Brokers (SCB). Michael Nadler, TBS's President, and Heather Nadler, TBS's Vice-President, will join SCB as managing directors.

TBS, which was founded in 1994 by Michael Nadler, oversees benefits consulting for over 200 group benefits and individual clients across Ontario, in a variety of industries. Boasting a combined 39 years of experience in the employee benefits market, the team is recognized by clients for their deep knowledge of benefits strategy.

TBS specializes in the SME sector, and the merger with SCB has resulted in synergies.

"We are excited to bring an improved administrative solution to our clients with the SCB technology. The TBS brand – Your Benefits | Your Way will be elevated by an integrated environment for benefits management,” Nadler, President of TBS, noted following this announcement. “As a service-oriented firm, we believe that with the addition of the SCB technical solutions and combined buying power and expertise, we will be able to continue delivering best-in-class service to our clients".

Sterling Capital Brokers (SCB) is based in Toronto, Ontario, and was created in 2014. SCB is Canada's biggest independent benefit consulting organization, specializing in serving small and medium-sized businesses and multinational corporations across the country. "Sterling is thrilled to welcome the team at TBS to our growing business, as they bring exceptional capabilities in benefits consulting and client services. The TBS team has a deep bench of experience that will complement and expand the capabilities of the SCB consulting organization. The combined team will be able to provide exceptional value to the TBS client book," SCB President, John Griffin, said, "The team at SCB are excited to start working with Michael and Heather".
