Global strategy sub-advised by leading asset manager focuses on investment-grade and non-investment-grade fixed income securities

iA Clarington Investment has expanded its ETF offering with a new series option on a global fixed-income strategy.

The firm has announced an active ETF series option for the IA Clarington Loomis Global Multisector Bond Fund. Sub-advised by Boston-based Loomis, Sayles & Company, L.P., it seeks to provide income and potential long-term capital growth primarily through direct or indirect investments in global fixed-income securities.

“We are very pleased to offer investors and advisors an additional exchange-traded option for accessing the expertise of our partners at Loomis Sayles,” said Adam Elliott, CEO, president & national sales manager at iA Clarington.

The fun invests primarily in investment-grade and non-investment-grade fixed-income securities, including U.S. corporate bonds, convertible securities, foreign debt instruments, and related foreign-currency transactions, and U.S. government securities.

“Along with IA Clarington Loomis Global Allocation Fund, the IA Clarington Loomis Global Multisector Bond Fund provides high-conviction, active exposure to a broad range of asset class and regional opportunities,” Elliott said.

With a management fee of 70 basis points, the active ETF series of the fund is trading under the ticker symbol ILGB on the TSX. It joins other iA Clarington’s other active ETF series offerings, namely:

  • IA Clarington Strategic Income Fund (ISIF) – seeks to provide a consistent stream of income and capital appreciation primarily through Canadian equity and fixed-income investments;
  • IA Clarington Loomis Global Allocation Fund (IGAF) – also sub-advised by Loomis Sayles, it aims to provide a consistent income stream and capital appreciation by investing in equity securities, fixed-income investments, and money market instruments from around the world;
  • IA Clarington Core Plus Bond Fund (ICPB) – sub-advised by Wellington Square, it seeks to provide income and the potential for long-term capital growth while preserving capital and minimizing the impact of fluctuating interest rates. It invests in government bonds, investment-grade bonds, high-yield bonds, and other income-producing securities; and
  • IA Clarington Floating Rate Income Fund (IFRF) – another Wellington Square sub-advised strategy, it seeks to generate a stream of current monthly income primarily through investments in senior floating-rate loans and other floating-rate securities, as well as debt obligations of investment-grade and non-investment-grade corporate issuers within and outside North America.
