Julie Lalonde has been appointed managing partner of Walter Global Asset Management.

The Westmount, Quebec, private equity platform announced that Lalonde will bring her two decades of asset management experience to support the growth of their business.

"With her results-driven approach, Julie will contribute to every area of the business," Sylvain Brosseau, CEO and founding partner of WGAM, said in a press release.

"Her knowledge of both the institutional and retail markets is an especially valuable asset. Julie has an in-depth understanding of investment processes and strategies in the institutional segment. Coupled with her experience in marketing, this will help position Walter Global Asset Management and its portfolio companies with investors in this sector."

Lalonde was previously a senior manager at Fiera Capital Corp. She led business development and client service for advisors as an executive VP at Fiera and maintained relationships with Fiera’s partners representing over $25 billion AUM. She also served as VP client service, marketing, and investment strategies at Fiera.
