Twitter beats expectations

Analysts were surprised by Twitter’s results which revealed stronger revenue and monthly active users than they predicted.

Analysts were surprised by Twitter’s results which revealed stronger revenue and monthly active users than they predicted. Revenue was up 61 per cent on last year at $502 million with a $137 million loss. Adjusted earnings were 7 cents per share; analysts had expected 4 cents. Monthly active users were up 12 per cent year-over-year to 304 million. Twitter is currently looking for a new CEO to replace Dick Costolo who left a month ago.
