TSX down more than 120 points, tracks Wall Street on mixed data

Poor earnings reports and mixed economic data have led to a triple-digit loss for the Toronto Stock Exchange on Thursday.

Poor earnings reports and mixed economic data have led to a triple-digit loss for the Toronto Stock Exchange on Thursday. Wall Street has also plunged with the Dow falling 195 points by the closing bell. Global concern over weak US GDP figures and a dovish Fed saw Asian and European stocks weakened. Flat GDP for Canada and job losses at GM in Ontario were among the negative sentiment domestically.

The S&P/TSX Composite Index closed down 122.8 (0.80 per cent)

Gold is trending lower
