Two Canadian companies have struck up a partnership with the aim of offering comprehensive wealth management services.
Bulkley Valley Credit Union, and its subsidiary Bulkley Valley Financial Services Ltd., will team up with Qtrade Financial Group with investment services to be based on Qtrade’s full-service brokerage platform.
Speaking about the deal, Bulkley Valley Credit Union CEO Dave Stene outlined how it should provide members with the “best available investment solutions”.
“Qtrade offers industry-leading technology and expertise, and shares our everyday commitment to providing the highest personal member and client service,” he said. “We are confident that by expanding this relationship, we can build on our success, and grow our wealth management business more quickly.”
As part of the partnership, Bulkley Valley Credit Union will offer Qtrade Investor for members who prefer to manage some of their own investments online. Qtrade is an award-winning, integrated financial services company, with close to $12 billion in assets and its CEO Bill Packham believes this deal will help push it to further success.
“We are excited that after thoroughly reviewing its options, Bulkley Valley Credit Union has placed their trust in us for this partnership,” he said. “Our focus will be on supporting their advisors to deliver a broader wealth management offering that will foster deeper relationships with members. We look forward to working with Bulkley Valley Credit Union to accelerate their growth and to help their members achieve their long-term financial goals.”
