Stephen Harper told reporters today that oil prices won’t stop growth in the economy but acknowledged the concern of those in Alberta. He said that despite the lower growth than the government were predicting a year ago the economy will expand and the budget will balance. The Prime Minister said that the effects of lower oil prices are already being seen in Alberta and that people understood that, but that the energy industry is resilient and will remain strong.
