Many in business, especially small to medium enterprises, are concerned about Obamacare. The employers’ mandate, requiring firms to pay for insurance for full time employees, will be a cost that many just can’t afford. Many businesses are already making or planning to make changes to their staffing levels or hours to avoid the extra burden of cost. The cost to subsidise the healthcare plan is $150 billion and if enough businesses sidestep the rules it could have huge implications for the treasury.
