Argentina set for talks about debt repayments
The Argentine government announced late yesterday that the country’s Economy Minister will be in New York today, heading a team that is hoping to settle the long running dispute over hedge fund debts. A US court has ordered Argentina to pay $1.3 billion to the hedge fund ‘holdouts’ that had refused to accept a deal for a lower-than-face-value payout.
