Kensington Capital Partners was founded in 1996 in Toronto. It started out as a small boutique firm, investing in private equity and venture capital. Over the next 25 years, the company expanded into complementary alternative assets such as hedge funds and private lending. Today, Kensington manages over $2.3 billion in assets. It counts pension endowment funds, banks and other corporate investors, and high net worth individuals among its investors.
