Nominations are now open for the 5th annual Wealth Professional Awards (WPAs), the leading independent awards event for the Canadian wealth management and financial planning sector.
Organized by the publishers of industry-leading title Wealth Professional Canada in partnership with Invesco Canada, the WPAs is the benchmark for recognition of excellence for the nation’s wealth management and financial planning high-fliers.
“We’re committed to working with advisors in delivering superior financial outcomes for Canadians,” said Invesco Canada VP Corporate Affairs Aysha Mawani. “The WPAs serve as a showcase for the country’s leading professionals.”
Awards will be given out across over 20 categories, all of which recognize the top-performing wealth professionals, advisors, advisory teams and fund providers in Canada. Among the broad range of categories are the hotly contested Advisor of the Year, Advisory Team of the Year, Advisory Network of the Year, the Equisoft Award for Fund Provider of the Year, and CEO of the Year.
For the award recipients themselves, receiving a WPA trophy in front of hundreds of their industry peers is a career highlight that leaves a lasting impact.
“There was a big cheer from everyone across teams when we shared news of the win,” enthused President & CEO Chris Reynolds of Investment Planning Counsel, which won Advisory Network of the Year last year. “There were lots of smiles, back-patting and celebration all through the halls at IPC. It was so nice to be recognized for our efforts. The team was so proud of the acknowledgement.”
The WPAs follows a comprehensive selection process, involving three months of nominations, industry research and finalist submissions in the lead up to the night itself. A judging panel comprising independent experts and thought leaders in the wealth management and finance industries determines the award winners.
Winners will be revealed live during the black-tie awards ceremony on May 30, 2019 in The Liberty Grand Toronto.
Nominations are open until February 25, 2019. The full list of categories is available at www.wpawards.ca.
