Nearly a third of American workers are over 50 and there are now more over 65s in the workforce than teenagers. However it’s not a cause for concern according to a new report from Aon Hewitt for AARP. The report says that older workers bring experience and loyalty to businesses and are not as expensive as may be believed. With many firms suffering from a skills gap the study found that older workers are often looking for employment and may have the skills that are required.
