Keystone XL boss says call for environmental review is a delaying tactic

The chief executive of TransCanada says calls by the US Environmental Protection Agency for a review into the impact of the Keystone XL pipeline is just a delaying tactic.

The chief executive of TransCanada says calls by the US Environmental Protection Agency for a review into the impact of the Keystone XL pipeline is just a delaying tactic. The agency has suggested that with oil prices and demand lower the oil industry will reduce production and therefore emissions but the pipeline would increase emissions. However TransCanad’s CEO Russ Girling says prices will increase along with demand and that pipelines will still be needed.
