Amazon hopes to grow Prime with Top Gear hires

Amazon has announced that it has hired the trio of presenters from BBC TV show Top Gear.

Amazon has announced that it has hired the trio of presenters from BBC TV show Top Gear. The outspoken Jeremy Clarkson, axed from the TV show after a fracas with a producer, will be joined by cohorts James May and Richard Hammond for the new show which will be available to members of Amazon Prime. It will be produced by Top Gear’s former producer Andy Wilman. The move is aimed at boosting membership of the Amazon Prime service.
