This article greatly overstates the net worth of Canadian households by saying "Despite the increase in household debt, household net worth rose 2.5 per cent in the third quarter to $10.133 trillion". Assuming there are approximately 10 million households in Canada that would imply the average Canadian household has a net worth of $1 Million! That's utter nonsense because as most Financial Advisors know, the net worth of the average Canadian household is currently less than $100,000. Wealth Professional should research this topic in more detail and provide more specifics regarding how they came up with the $10 Trillion number.
