The passive/active debate is almost as old as time itself and while advisors are probably sick of reading about it, it’s a discussion that continues to illicit passionate responses on both sides of the issue

    It does not really matter if it is active or passive investing, studies have shown and the fact remains that emotion is the biggest detriment to investing. Fees are worth it if you have the right Planner/Advisor helping you through the roller coaster of the markets. The bigger mistakes are made emotionally not by missing out on the one big stock of the year. People need advisors with solid long term perspective on investments not picking the right stock!
