National Bank Investments announces changes to mutual funds

Bank announces portfolio manager and fund name shakeup

National Bank Investments (NBI) has announced a change of portfolio managers for the National Bank Canadian Equity Fund and the NBI Canadian Equity Private Portfolio. The same release reports a name change for three National Bank mutual funds.

Current portfolio manager Fiera Capital to be replaced
The bank also announced that by August 31 Jarislowsky Fraser Limited will replace Fiera Capital Corporation as portfolio manager to the National Bank Canadian Equity Fund.

At the same time, National Bank Trust (NBT) will replace Fiera Capital Corporation as portfolio manager to the NBI Canadian Equity Private Portfolio, retaining CI Investments Inc. to sub-advise the fund.

Each fund’s investment objective remains unchanged.

The changes are in accordance with NBI’s 100% open architecture, under which the portfolio management of the funds built for its product menu is done exclusively by other firms, and with the necessary manager supervision.

Mutual fund name changes
Three National Bank mutual funds will undergo name changes by August 31. The funds to be renamed, along with their new names, are indicated below:

The changes will be reflected in an upcoming amendment to the simplified prospectus for the National Bank Mutual Funds, which will be made public on the National Bank website as well as the SEDAR website.
