Invesco swoops for Vanguard’s employee

Several movements as firm attempts to ramp up capital markets strength

One notable ETF provider is attempting to ramp up its capital markets team – and it has made a significant signing from a rival to do so.

Invesco PowerShares has secured Jim Goldie from rival Vanguard, according to a report at FT Advisor. Goldie, who was a capital markets and ETF specialist at Vanguard, will now become the head of ETF Capital Markets at Invesco. Formerly at both Morgan Stanley and Goldman Sachs, Goldie will take on responsibilities including managing stock exchanges across the area as well as securing relationships with market makers.

The arrival of Goldie is not the only significant move for Vanguard, however.

In addition, the company has changed the position of Michael Delew. He was already working at the firm, but will now move into the post of ETF capital markets research analyst.
