Changes announced for Desjardins funds

Changes announced for Desjardins funds The fund manager of Desjardins Funds, Desjardins Investments Inc., has announced changes for its Chorus II Portfolios.

According to a news release from the firm, Desjardins Investments approved changes to the funds’ investment strategies. The changes have allowed the addition of a volatility reduction criterion to other bases for determining the proportion of the funds’ assets to be allocated to each security.

To reflect the change, the funds will be renamed as follows:

The fundamental investment objective of each fund will not change. Asset allocation recommendations will be provided for the Chorus II Portfolios by Lazard Asset Management LLC, which will act as expert advisor.

In the same release, Desjardins announced that the Chorus II High Growth Portfolio will be renamed as the Chorus II Dynamic Growth Portfolio, and the Chorus II Corporate Class High Growth Portfolio will be retitled the Chorus II Corporate Class Dynamic Growth Portfolio.

The changes will take effect on or around Dec. 5, pending the required regulatory approvals.
