Wireless spectrum auction rules branded “ridiculous”

Wireless spectrum auction rules branded “ridiculous” Smaller telecom companies hoping to gain ground against the bigger firms by bidding for the new fourth network wireless spectrum may find their business is unsustainable. That’s according to Dvai Ghose of Canaccord Genuity who says that the rules for the auction are “ridiculous” and will result in smaller firms controlling too little of the spectrum to be a viable alternative to the big players. The government maintains that the auction will allow more competition in the market and will benefit consumers with more competitive prices.
