The financial and mining sectors led the gains for the Toronto Stock Exchange on Friday along with some good earnings reports. Wall Street also saw gains as Apple stocks pushed the Nasdaq higher and the Dow saw triple-digit gains after Thursday’s sell-off. Major Asian and most European markets were closed Friday for holidays.
The S&P/TSX Composite Index closed up 115.3 (0.76 per cent)
