World markets lower ahead of G20, Trump-Putin meeting... Historic meeting in focus for markets...
The markets are cautious Friday ahead of the G20 meeting this weekend in Germany and the meeting of presidents Trump and Putin.
A weak handover from Wall Street and rising global bond yields, plus a new drop for oil prices as US output jumped 1 per cent, are all in focus.
Asian markets closed broadly lower. The Bank of Japan has increased its buying of government bonds as part of its quantitative easing program.
European markets are trending lower. Mixed data is being digested.
Wall Street and Toronto are expected to open lower. Canadian and US employment data is due.

Historic meeting in focus for markets
The first meeting of President Trump and President Putin will be closely watched by analysts for signs of how the two leaders may work together, or not.
With geopolitical tensions in sharp focus in light of the North Korea missile launches, the US president will be seeking co-operation from his Russian counterpart in pressuring China to use its influence.
Then there is the issue of Russia’s involvement in Iran and Syria, likely to be a thorny issue for the two world leaders. Trump has already called for Moscow to end support for the Iranian and Syrian regimes.
At home, Trump will be expected to take a hard line with Putin, with the investigation of collusion over the race to White House in focus. However, it will be a fine line between pressure and co-operation and Putin is a far more experienced leader who is not known for being easily directed.
