​Jobs report expected to be downbeat Friday’s Canadian jobs report from Statistics Canada (due 8.30am in Ottawa) is expected to show that the number of those in employment fell by 5000 in October continuing a run of net losses. In a week when Bank of Nova Scotia said it is cutting 1500 jobs and SNC-Lavalin announced that 4000 jobs are to go, blaming weak economic conditions.
