As analysts weigh the current market conditions and consider the impact of the weakened Canadian dollar there is renewed talk of an interest rate cut by the Bank of Canada. Despite hopes that the two rate cuts so far this year would be enough to stimulate growth in the wake of the falling oil prices; the new economic woes may need more intervention. The Financial Post reports that betting on a further rate cut stands at 45 per cent.
