Canadian Natural Resources blames NDP government for losses

Canadian Natural Resources blames NDP government for losses Canadian Natural Resources has been affected like all energy firms by the lower oil prices but in releasing its earnings report for the second quarter the firm blamed another issue. Corporate taxes imposed by Alberta’s NDP government have led to a $405 million loss (37 cents per share) with a $579 million charge for a 2 per cent increase in provincial taxes. Adjusted earnings would have been $174 million (16 cents per share) without the charge.
