As part of its efforts to boost and fortify its institutional business, Sun Life Investment Management Company welcomed two new members to its distribution team and announced the promotion of one of its sales associate.

Sun Life Institutional Investments president Carl Bang said Sean Sirois, the former vice-president of business development at IPSOL Capital, will join the group as head of business development in Quebec and Eastern Canada.

Also joining the team as the head of business development in Western Canada is Stian Andersen, the former institutional business development and client relationships director at Sun Life Global Investments.

In their new roles, Sirois and Andersen will be responsible for marketing investment solutions to consultants, defined benefit pension plan sponsors, and other institutional investors.

Meanwhile, ex-institutional sales associate Andrew Post is promoted as the new director of institutional sales in Central Canada. As with the roles of Sirois and Andersen, Post will be in charge of promoting marketing investment solutions to consultants, sponsors, and other institutional investors.

"We are also proud to announce the promotion of Andrew Post to the role of Director of Institutional Sales.  Sean, Stian and Andrew each bring a deep understanding of investment management and the client service experience, complementing our existing team," Bang said.

He said the expansion of the Canadian distribution team signifies Sun Life Investment Management's continued commitment to helping clients meet their investment and financial goals.
