Supermarkets in Ontario may start selling beer and wine as part of an overhaul of alcohol trading laws in the province. The Beer Store has a monopoly currently but any change to that is likely to only benefit the largest supermarkets rather than allow smaller retailers to begin selling alcohol. More details are expected in the provincial budget in the coming weeks.
