    translate good intension with mega give away tax dollars to large tech companies why not build on our strength and apply the innovation to that sector

    Nice ideal. Not realistic without a major change in Canada.

    Canadian IP laws mean it will simply be paid for here, but make money in the US/India/China. 25 years of being a tech innovator here has proven to me that Canada is NOT a welcoming place for innovation.

    Others who learned that lesson are RIM, ATI Technologies, and Avro.
