All possible remedies simply kick the ball down the road. Having said that, there are distinct limits on which someone can borrow based on overall debt in Canada, and based on earnings, to the effect that each family/individual has built in limitations. Furthermore, since in Canada folks may not walk away from a bank debt, the banks are in a position to continue to collect on a debt should someone go through bankruptcy. This is structurally completely different from the past US financial structure 08/09. So although alarming, a complete comparison to our Southern cousins is not completely appropriate to wrrant saying the sky is now falling. Truth--it is really a "maybe".
